From the north or south:

Take the A7 and exit at the Seesen interchange; then take the B 243 to Osterode; after about 5 km, change to the B 242 to Clausthal-Zellerfeld, or take the A7 and exit at the Rhüden interchange; then take the B 82 via Langelsheim to Goslar, and then continue on the B 241 to Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

From the west:

Take the motorway Dortmund - Kassel (A 44) and exit at the interchange, “Kasseler Kreuz”; then take the A 7 and exit at the Seesen interchange.

From the east:
Take the A 2 and exit at the Braunschweig Nord interchange; then take the A 391 and exit at the interchange, “Dreieck BS-Südwest”; continue to Bad Harzburg and then take the A  395 / B 6 to the interchange, “Bad Harzburger Dreieck”; continue on the B 6 to Goslar and then take the B 241 from Goslar to Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

From the southeast (Leipzig):

Take the B 80 to Nordhausen; continue on the B 243 to Osterode, and then take the B 241 from Osterode to Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

By bus and rail:
Coming from Hannover and Berlin:

By rail to Goslar; from the terminal in Goslar, take the bus, line 830 or 831, to Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

Coming from Kassel:

By rail to Northeim; from the terminal in Northeim, take the bus, line 440, to Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

By air: The nearest national airport is in Hannover, about 100 km from Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
